Chiropractic FAQs

What is a subluxation?

A subluxation, or more precisely, the Vertebral Subluxation Complex, describes what happens when spinal bones lose their normal position and motion from stress, trauma, or chemical imbalances. These spinal changes interfere with nerve, brain and spinal cord function. Therefore, the Vertebral Subluxation Complex can be the underlying cause of most health problems. Instead of focusing in on symptoms, we correct the cause of your health problem.

How do I know if I have a subluxation?

You can have a subluxation and not even know it. Like the early stages of tooth decay or heart disease, subluxations can be present before warning sign appear. The results of a thorough examination can show the location and severity of subluxations you may have.

How is care determined?

Recommendations are determined by the result of a thorough chiropractic, neurologic, orthopedic and radiologic examination. These procedures enable your doctor to produce the results that our patients have come to expect.

Once I start will I always need an adjustment?

However long you choose to benefit from chiropractic is up to you. After patients get the relief they want, many choose to continue with some type of periodic care. These visits can help support the final stages of healing and help detect and resolve new problems before they become serious.
